St Mark’s Evergreens
St Mark’s Evergreens is an organisation open to Senior Citizens (ladies and gentlemen) who either belong to the Church or live in the surrounding area. We meet on the second Wednesday each month from October to May, in the Heyn Hall, Sydenham Avenue, between 2.30 and 4.00pm, with an outing arranged for June. There is a varied programme, including talks, musical entertainment, armchair aerobics, quizzes, bingo, beetle drive etc, followed by afternoon tea. New ideas are always welcome!
Members pay £1 per month, except December, and the cost of the June outing varies. We also have a monthly ballot prize.
If you, or someone you know, have not been before and would like to join us, why not come along to our Christmas Party on 9th December, Heyn Hall, Sydenham Avenue at 2.30pm? To help with numbers for catering, or if you require a lift to and from the meeting, please contact either of the Committee members at the numbers below. If you are coming to the party, we would appreciate a small gift-wrapped present to go in Santa’s sack.
Also, any drivers available on the second Wednesday of the month, who would be willing to join the pool for transporting members to and from our meetings, please contact Joan or Lorna.
We look forward to welcoming new members for a new year.
